How do you make a grilled cheese?

I have my own methods but I'm curious about your collective grilled cheese game.

I put the butter in the pan and save a step of buttering the bread. I like Cheese, Tomato and Ham with some mayo on it! Sourdough makes amazing grilled cheese!
