Do you make your own pasta/other sauces?

If so, what kinds? I personally have gotten into making sauces of all sorts in the past couple years. Is a little delicate at times but worth the effort, in my opinion.

I prefer making my own sauces and salad dressing. I've done it all except mustard and ketchup. I've even made up BBQ sauce.
I like it because I can control the ingredients and sugar, plus it tastes better and no preservatives or additives.

@dragonfly46 Mustard is easy and fun. I've never done tomato ketchup, I'm not a fan, but I have done mushroom ketchup. Good stuff.

Yeah, my favorite is lemon sauce but I use for salmon usually. Everything homemade tastes better and healthier!

The only sauce i have made on my own is tomato sauce.
Will you count icing too? Ive made a ton of that and gravey too. But i dont really think of those last 2 as sauces...

@UndeadPrivateer My mom and dad went round and round and round and round for years until my dad finally accepted what my mom made based on her recipe.

Much strife. But when the recipe was "I dunno, I add some of this and some of that", it's hard to recreate. 😅

@UndeadPrivateer Some things manufacturers are simply better at. They can nake a better product at less cost than I can.

@SW-User It's technical to make sauces but it is honestly quite cheap and can turn out far better than packaged sauces. No fillers.

I make my own pasta sometimes and I normally always make my own sauce, usually bolognaise, carbonara and pesto
