Coffee Lovers

I need your suggestions for your favorite K-cups that are less expensive than Starbucks k-cups, which I’ve just calculated costs me almost $500/year. I’m cutting back, and my local grocery store brand saves more than half, but it’s not that good. My first morning coffee is one of my life’s pleasures, and I don’t have many, so I need a good cup of coffee, but not expensive, to start my day. Any ideas. Is Dunkin Donuts good? I’ve never had their coffee.

Just to clarify, I’m wanting K-cups to make at home, not coffee shop coffee to take away.

I don't use K cups anymore. But" I do enjoy Dunkin Donuts coffee. My husband buys the ground coffee in bags.

Green Mountain is good, but I don’t know if they’re cheaper than Starbucks. My “store brand” is Kroger, and I like their K-cups.
@SmartKat We get the Kroger K-cups at Food 4 Less and they are good.
We like the French roast the best.
Try Target or Big Lots, they have good deals sometimes.

@SmartKat I was trying to decide between Green Mountain and Folgers yesterday. Went with Folgers, and I like it. Maybe I’ll try Kroger too, if the price is less than Folgers. Thanks.
It you're sticking only with kcups trader Joes are about 1/2 Starbucks price.

Or get a refillable one and get whatever coffee you want

Just buy your favorite brand from Costco or online. The pleasure is worth the price.
Carissimi · F
@GJOFJ3 My favorite brand costs me almost $500/year, and I’ve researched buying online which costs more. There is no Costco near me. I need to budget and cut back on some things.

@Carissimi Starbucks 40 count variety pack is $19.00 online

@GJOFJ3 Thanks. I’ll check it out.

I buy K-Cup's at a local discount store called Ollie’s Bargain Outlet (off brands that taste the same as their advertised equivalent).
I like the donut Shop brand..

A box of 80 cups for $25.

But, because of the expense, I upgraded my machine to one that does K-Cup on one side by the cup and a 12 cup carafe on the other side where I can use regular ground coffee (I like McCafe dark roast $8/2 lbs).. Because I drink more than one cup in the mornings.. OK more like 3 cups.. ha ha

yeah kcups cost 2-3x even the most premium pour over coffee...I got rid of my Keurig after I did the math.

Why don't you invest in a good coffee machine and get a good grade of coffee?
It will be a huge overall saving and you get a quality coffee.

@SW-User she does

@SW-User You mean drip coffee. I tried that. As I have to make more than I need, most goes to waste. It also takes 10-minutes to make. I found I paid almost as much as k cups with the wastage.
How has this worked out? At home I use one of the reusable k-cups and a paper filter. Use bag ground coffe. Gevalia is good. Seattle's Best is also good.

Best value in coffee is Eight O'Clock. Try it!
