American, British and European chocolate tastes very different and people always prefer what they've been brought up with. British chocolate is too rich and sweet for most. American chocolate tastes a bit cheesy or vomitty because of the make-up of the ingredients. European chocolate tastes quite bland (to me).
As for non-chocolate. I prefer British. Our sherbert is a lot different and traditional stuff like barley sugars, everton mints, cinder toffee, and cough sweets are really nice. You don't see them very often nowadays, though.

I do lol. I am from the UK so i can get all that. Just I prefer US candy and am fortunate enough that I have an American store here that sells the candy I like
