@MichaelJT You sound like a real brainiac.
@SW-User I'm an annoying perfectionist.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays This appears to be at least half true.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays dictionary.com says I can use hung.

@getmeouttahere It was a misprint.

@MichaelJT @FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Correct English usage conforms to how English speakers speak. You are both clinging onto some weird archaic rule that isn't commonly used. Is it correct to say "hanged"? Yes, because English speakers still say that and other English speakers understand them. Is it correct to say "hung"? Yes, because English speakers now say that and other English speakers understand them.

@SW-User Did you take English in high school?

@MichaelJT You know that I called the other dude a pedant like 15 minutes ago, right?
SW-User
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Are you trying to suggest that the rules you learn in English class in high school are authoritative and somehow supersede what linguists say?
@SW-User Yup.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Do you also think calculus is advanced math since that is about as far as high school math goes?

I’m just going to start using Jung instead of hung. I like the way it rolls off the tongue.
@SW-User bad analogy

@MichaelJT You seem really concerned with me at the moment, just saying.
