do you think apple cider vinegar would be okay as a sub in a recipe calling for white vinegar?

I only use white vinegar for fish, but I do not have any. I use ACV for its health benefits in water...but for this recipe??

Dilute it very slightly with water--then use it. White vinegar is not as strong as ACV.
