do you think apple cider vinegar would be okay as a sub in a recipe calling for white vinegar?

I only use white vinegar for fish, but I do not have any. I use ACV for its health benefits in water...but for this recipe??

ACV has a strong taste. If you don't mind that, it should be okay in terms of how it reacts with the food.
