Do you enjoy your food more when you spend your quality time preparing it ?

Or do you enjoy it more when someone else cooks it ?
I have mixed emotions over food , I like to know what make it up and the ingredients that went into preparing it , and enjoy the therapeutic process of cooking for myself and others , but on the other hand it’s nice to have someone cook for me.
I think the key for me is the final presentation , if it looks not so good , how ever the nice it’s tastes , I enjoy it less

I enjoy both: preparing it because it will have exactly what I like and it's therapeutic (sometimes)
and I really enjoy when someone else cook especially if it's for me and also, if they enjoyed cooking it

@Love4All are you an adventurous cook , and do you try new food styles, cultures and types openly , at least once ?

@Wishingwellguy No, I'm trying to be more open and have tried a lot of foods -- I'm afraid it might not be good and I just want to enjoy a delicious food
I'm referring to restaurants and I usually cook something I've tried and loved at a restaurant
you?

@Love4All I’m now pescatarian , have been for many years , but previously been to Asia and Africa ans enjoyed authentic foods , but it’s about texture of foods for me these days , meat is not for me , but love my sweet pastry’s, and technique of making them
