Does running out of garlic count as a 1st world problem?

It can be a second world problem too. You have to keep those southeastern European blood suckers at bay as well as a good spaghetti.

@puck61 they use it daily in Morocco for tagines and soups and foods like that.
@cherokeepatti Yeah....everyone is right. Garlic is like salt. We all need it.

@puck61 Yeah since the germs are getting immune to antibiotics it's best we all go back to natural treatments. Garlic does a lot of other things like thin blood and helps the liver to detox, etc.
@cherokeepatti I worked for this lady in Grant's Pass Oregon, and I would eat massive amounts of garlic out of her yard. It did wonders. I still eat it, but not as much. *She was amazing. She had opium poppies growing all over her yard. I have to confess to slicing a few pods!
@cherokeepatti I didn't realize this. I'm on plavix

@puck61 You can always pickle garlic if you find it on sale at a low price, that's what my boss does, gallons of it and it smells while it is fermenting for a couple weeks...they eat garlic all winter long. A great way to have garlic if there's a temporary shortage or if the price goes high for awhile.

@Mondayschild Better be careful, my sister was a nurse and she knew I like garlic and she would tell me to be careful cause you can OD on it and thin your blood too much even if you aren't on blood thinners...ginger is the same way. I have to be careful to watch myself when I eat crystallized ginger that I make, can eat it like candy.
@cherokeepatti cardiac rehab will help me about nutrition.

@Mondayschild Yeah hopefully they will educate you about foods to avoid thinning your blood too much.
