Has anyone canned butter?

I've seen and read some varied reports of people canning butter for long term storage. I was thinking if it worked-even just for a 6 month period-that'd be wonderful. Periodically I am able to get my hands on tasty Amish butter, but would like to be able to get more, have it last longer and not lose space in my fridge or freezer. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts 👍🏻

Ghee is what they use in India to cook with, it has the milk solids separated from the butterfat and it can be canned in jars.
