Has anyone canned butter?

I've seen and read some varied reports of people canning butter for long term storage. I was thinking if it worked-even just for a 6 month period-that'd be wonderful. Periodically I am able to get my hands on tasty Amish butter, but would like to be able to get more, have it last longer and not lose space in my fridge or freezer. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts 👍🏻

well with all due honesty it's better if it's premade not by your hand to freeze and many times you do not need to.. unless conditions are that variable like heat, high humidity, conditions with the storage where it could be disrupted...

but to churn your own and uh, whatever else you want to do.. esp. this day and age with cannabis legalizing about..... freezing is best. (if it's a defrosting type then get those blue ice packs you can get from cvs or.... and an insulated freezer type lunch carrier. which you can also get at cvs, grocers, amazon.... this will help 'buffer' the thawing process of defrosting fridges.

to 'can' will 'tinge' the butter and make it turn and curdle.
in many cases even if it's salted accordingly.
