Has anyone canned butter?

I've seen and read some varied reports of people canning butter for long term storage. I was thinking if it worked-even just for a 6 month period-that'd be wonderful. Periodically I am able to get my hands on tasty Amish butter, but would like to be able to get more, have it last longer and not lose space in my fridge or freezer. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts 👍🏻

Freezing butter works.

Butter freezes well, so stash a stick or two in the freezer (leave in the original wrapping and place in a freezer bag) and you'll always have some on hand when you need it. If you're constantly running out, freeze a backup supply in an airtight container.

@Enchanted I'm definitely into freezing butter, and have no issue doing so. I was more wondering what other options -i.e. Canning- people have tired 😊
Good butter goes quick, but it's not always within driving distance lol
