i like the oboe myself.

my guitar is an extension of me ,and it has made me quite a bit of money
opened doors for me back in the day I was to shy to open alone
but I am glad to say its not everything
God ,my family ,a mate that gets me ,thats my priority order for now .
but my guitar is pretty high up there and I have been playing close to 50 plus years ,
Not as into my instruments as much as you are ,but I get where you are coming from .
My guitar has supported me and never left me ,its got one up on past mates

Good for you! When I was in grade school, we had to pick an instrument for music class. I wanted to play French Horn, but got talked out of it by teachers. So, I played piano. To this day, I wish I had learned French Horn. I love the sound, too!
