I'm proud to be cheap

I like being cheap, and take pride in trying to save money. Not sure why there is a stigma to being cheap to be bad? I try hard to find things on clearance, buy kids meals to cut costs and watch calories, and go to thrift stores when I can. I'm a Saver-Splurger money personality type. I save when I need and splurge when it gets stressful or if I deserve a treat. I'm in late 20s, managed to save 20k+ and put most of it towards retirement savings and a tax free savings account. I work full time + overtime as a Nursing Aide.

Some of my friends have bad spending habits, spent their money on overpriced things and struggle with debt. And it surprises me that don't have to worry about paying rent. I pay $600 a month and try so hard to budget to get a chance and travel. Just proud of my financial goals because i want to eventually save another 10k and more to become a Social Worker.
Well done for building your savings and managing your finances well and being sustainable. Youre not cheap youre smart
@PepsiColaP i appreciate this! ♡
You are not cheap you are smart. Saving is always important! Spend when it's necessary.
@littlepuppywantanewlife i appreciate this, I owe it to my mom for showing me the value of a dollar.
@CosplayMew ofcourse in my case I learnt it since my teenage. So I earn and I have less expenditure. Sometimes I save almost most off of my salary.
