OK you have a student debt to pay off, and as things are now, there's no getting out from under that, so keep on paying it off. I'd say too, if this guy has any real, true feelings for you and is talking about a house, then I'd think he'd have considered marrying you, and though it's YOUR debt, a good spouse will help and not let his s/o drown in their problems. If it's the blossoming of a new relationship and that's his attitude, he'll either support you or bail. Once distressed over the loss of someone I deeply cared for, I was admonished, "There are too many fish in the sea..." I hope you fare well in both your debt and relationships!
