I Feel Worried About Paying Off My Student Loans

My loans keep going up. (For example not the real amount) Last week I owed 10,800 and this week the loan is up to 11,010. What exactly happened? I don't understand do they just add a crap load of interest per month?

@JarJarBoom I don't know what that means. But ever since I applied for the loan I have been paying on it monthly.
