Canada's Shopify cuts 10% of workforce as online shopping slows

I think its madness on US consumer's part that they've slowed down Online Shopping.

Brick and Motar cannot even dream of competing with the variety available online.

Canada has their own economic views. Yet the principal is just the same as here in the US. The tactic in both is to slow down the economy. To slow down spending.

So by both your argument doesn't apply. Biden is attempting to slow it down by interest rates. I'm not certain yet I don't believe Canada can do the same via their prime minister.

Yet he can possibly and legally do the online slow down.

I really don't agree with either economic methods. Control over the corporate profits is a far more effective method of economic control.

Neither will ever do that! Free enterprise is far too important for both of them. Their positions of office are at stake. Yet they both have to do something.

It's a best of the worst case scenarios in both countries.
