Requirements for you to retire

What are your resource goals for retirement? Do you have an amount in cash, savings or securities that you are shooting for? Or is it an income level that is driving your goals? Or perhaps both? Will you ever retire completely? Or do you plan on continuing to work in some degree?

We make plans , God laughs. That being said I hope to retire in 6 and 1/2 years then be a greeter at Home Depot or a school crossing guard.
I go by the 4% rule. Calculate 4% of your net worth. If that number, plus any additional income (social security, etc.) represents a comfortable annual income, then you can retire.

@BizSuitStacy Congrats. I can easily retire, but I don't want to. I still enjoy working my businesses. Looking for second home now.
@carpediem That's great!

@carpediem Me too. And when I finally get to heaven, I don't want to hear it from Momma about wasting my potential.
