The only intelligent answer to that is to invest the money. You can live off the dividends. Especially if you manage to grow the principal.

Out of the goodness of my heart I'd give a third of it to the government, another third I'd invest in women, booze and gambling. The rest I'd just fritter away.

Put it in the bank, and leave it. I'd have a million dollars worth of financial security.

Put some of it in the bank and watch it grown and live of it for years
