Does anyone actually follow the 50/30/20 budgeting plan?

I've tried, but the 20% savings is a killer! Imagine just a $4,000 monthly net income and trying to save $800 of it every month. Really?

My Social Security pittance doesn't even cover my half of the rent.

@hunkalove Yeah, I hear and see that with so many on Social Security. More and more people on SS have to work until the day they die.

It's criminal that anyone who lives in the USA should have to live like that.

@Ontheroad Trump wants to get rid of Social Security. But I don't see Biden doing anything to fix it.

@hunkalove It's not up to President Biden, it's up to Congress. President Biden has no real play in it, other than to sign a Bill that would fix it.

@Ontheroad He could lead the way, which is what the president is supposed to do.

@hunkalove I agree with the idea of our president leading the way, but it needs to be an all-encompassing plan that no president has, to date, come up with. Presidents and their staff don't have the chops to even get close to any good ideas.

Congress needs to fund an independent commission (devoid of politics AND politicians) and get the job done.
