Does anyone actually follow the 50/30/20 budgeting plan?

I've tried, but the 20% savings is a killer! Imagine just a $4,000 monthly net income and trying to save $800 of it every month. Really?

Most people need that 800 to cover groceries and gas. Possibly more even for a single household.

@SW-User Especially single parent households! I honestly don't know how some of them make it.

@Ontheroad I don't either. I've definitely had my days of PB&J's so my son could eat well.

@SW-User I'm more than sure you've had more than a few days of that. I was lucky. When I was in my single-parent days I was fortunate to always have the income we needed, but I know that is the rule, it's more the rule that the parent goes without.

@Ontheroad As long as I can make it work for him, I'm good. They always come first 🖤
