My friend in debt and her spending habits concern me

My friend and I are 28 years old, she is 3k in debt and spent $275 on airpods. She is using her student loans. Asked me how i was able to save money and i told her that I control myself and don't go after expensive things. I'll talk to myself if I can afford before purchasing. I have to be mindful that I pay rent $600 a month. And she mention that she doesnt have to pay rent. I said that she was lucky and can start saving more for herself after paying off her debt.

She tried to convince me to go to Italy with her and it won't be expensive. I told her it is. Even for me. To consider. She tried hard to convince me and i told her "how are you gonna get the money?"

Her: "I'll get a job and pay it off."
Me: "but you are in debt right now."
Her: "please, let's go to Italy."

I am surprised that she is financially irresponsible for her age and is not scared of going into more debt.
