I'm talking of course about Amanda nunes. The female GOAT in mma.
What makes a martial artist the best? That's arguable. If it's "who could kick the other dudes ass" then it would basically just be heavy weight genetic freaks. Dude who don't do martial arts at all are better than light weights champions. Sorry, but Hapthor would kill Connor Mcgregor. weigh classes exist for a reason.
If it's who is the most innovative? That's a great metric. I'd go with Jigoro Kano, founder of judo.
In either case, What Amanda nunes accomplished in the sport is INSANE. When people talk about who is the best in MMA, people usually say George Saint Pierre, or Jon Jones, or Khabib, but I would put Amanda at the very top of that list. I'm fortunate to train with people who trained in her camp while I lived in Miami.
