I Love Boxing

Yesterday was my third month of boxing. No I don't box to hurt others or to be a pro. I do it for self defence.

However I remember my first day of class.

The punching bag, moves, you have to move with it. Would have been nice to have been forewarned about this. ha!

I am the only girl in a class of 9 men. They are so over protective of me it's insane. However they all learnt pretty fast I can take care of my own. But it is a wonderful feeling , to be with these men, and have them realize that just because I am a women , I won't break. They have respect for me as I do them.

Next milestone should be kick boxing if moving with the same acceleration.
@TheOrionbeltseeker unfortunately it's just a boxing class. Not kick boxing

I learnt pretty fast to stay with the bag ha! Ha!

Do you kick box ?

@countrygirl05 i left that stuff back in 2012. It was good to be a part of the team in a particular dress code. I still miss it but can not continue. Though i might learn kung fu probably the next year as part of a job.

@TheOrionbeltseeker it will be Hard to change from kick boxing to kung fu becouse it's a way differnt style. Did Shaolin kung fu myself and then switched to differnt MMA techniks that they use in UFC fighting

@Bjoern1997 [Veeshalgreek] [countrygirl05] Respectfully disagree with Bjoern (and who should know better than a Chan philosopher 🙂)> Shaolin kung fu employs quite a bit kicking -my daughter could roundhouse kick me to the side of my head when still a teen. Ahh, if I could finish learning "eighteen elbows" form where I now live, I'd be a happy grasshopper.
