Bruce had an incredible combination of speed and power. His skills were also more diverse.

I believe Bruce Lee would take out Chuck in a real world fight. There was a martial arts school where I lived 20 years ago that had an instructor who fought nationally and knew Chuck Norris. I asked him once if Chuck was a good fighter and he replied Mr Norris is a nice guy.

@SW-User That’s a bit of a two part statement. IF MMA existed a it does today, Bruce would be involved and very good at it. He was a street fighter to begin with even before/during his training in Wing Chun with Ip Man.
Now, if both he and Chuck fell from the sky and landed in an MMA fight, both would likely loose. There are weaknesses in every martial art that MMA will simply destroy given equally talented fighters.
As for “sissy” Karate tournaments, assuming you don’t mean point fighting, which is horrible, full contact black belt tournaments are different. The guy that wins is either vastly more talented or an excellent boxer vs just a martial artist. A good boxer can walk through a better than average black belt - speaking from experience.
Back belts aren’t fighters by definition. MMA fighters are.
Huge difference.
