What are some of your favorite authors and books? I'd love to hear!

Hey everyone! I'm a big fan of reading and I'm always looking for new book recommendations. I really enjoy fantasy and horror, so some of my favorite authors are J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter), J.R.R. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. What are some of your favorite authors and books? I'd love to hear!

it depends on what sort of book I'm looking for, though Chuck Palahniuk is generally a fun choice. (at least i think so) though anything that allows me a break from reality is nice. psychology and philosophy have their place but don't allow for much escapism.
