Unisex toilets

Needed to pee urgently so went into a KFC, found was a unisex bathroom (no urinals, just stalls and common-use sinks)

Stalls labelled M and F so went into an F but after starting realised it was a guy in the next one

Felt weird sitting there knowing a guy was on the other side of the divider

I suppose this sort of thing is going to become more common but was my first time

i worked in offices in York that had been architect designed with mixed gender loos 20 years ago - after a very short period management and staff felt more comfortable with the loos changed to single sex so that ground floor was female, first floor male, 2nd floor female etc.

@gandalf1957 yeah, people have always preferred to not have members of the opposite sex around in the loos, who knew?
gandalf1957 · 61-69, M
@goofypony yes; motorway services toilets with notices up in the loos -"these toilets may be serviced / cleaned by both sexes"

@gandalf1957 I think there's a difference between 'cleaning' and 'using', with cleaners I have less of a mental image of guys doing their business which can be unnerving
