@BunnyWarrior I’ve spoken to many moms/girls out there and it would seem parents use all kinds of different implements. Seems like the cane is used often in the UK…seems like the wooden spoon/hairbrushes more by moms whereas the belt by dads. Might be more a function of nearness to hand! Paddles, straps, those things made to spank…evenly distributed between genders…more likely used by serious discipline users.

Boys and girls equally in grade and middle school in Texas back in the '60s.. Boys more in high school
Also spanked equally at home but preferred implements for parents to whip with seemed to be equally belt or switch (my Mother) and hairbrush or small paddle for otk
