My mom gave me enemas routinely. We had the red bag hanging behind the bathroom door. I got used to them. I still prefer them for constipation problems.

No just Ivory soap and water. They weren’t punishments. She used them as the universal cure for what ever ailed me.

I remember cramping sometimes. She used strange concoctions she learned about and some of those were murder.
