This is not good
I just noticed that my mattress protector has a huge rip in it. Whats bad I didn't notice until after I had an accident when I had took my nap. I like the feeling of wetting myself but i don't want to ruin my mattress.

Fitted vinyl mattress covers like the one I use aren't that expensive. You can order them online or get them at a medical supply store. Some department stores also sell them. When they get older they tend to dry out and crack. I replace mine about once a year.
