I Never Wear Shoes In the House
Childhood/smelly Socks...
My mom raised me never to wear shoes indoors, it was a rule enforced under threat of death, lol. Well not quite death, but it certainly was stressed. Not that I liked wearing shoes, but having to take them off at the door the second I got home was embarrassing if I was hot and had smelly socks (which I usually did, because we couldn't afford the laundromat often enough to have a change of clothes every day. I would've preferred to take them off in my room and change my socks in private (assuming my home pair were any less smelly), but mom told me that was vain, and I guess she was right. Anyway, the habit stuck with me, I can't wear shoes indoors no matter what. And when I got older, I realized I could just skip wearing socks and wash my feet instead, lol.
