I Wear a Watch

I Look At My Watch Whether It Is There Or Not :)...   I have been wearing a wrist watch since I was 7 or 8.  As a result it has become an extension of myself in a sense.  Even though I can get the time on my phone, I still prefer the watch.  I do notice how often others refer to their phones throughout a day, but I work in a place where your phones are not to be used during your shift.
The only downside is replacing batteries.  For whatever reason, watch manufacturers have made most watches difficult to replace the battery on w/o scratching or otherwise damaging the watch.  I just had to change mine out in my old Timex.  Sadly, it was easier to change it using a broken in half set of nail clippers while incarcerated than using a more proper tool now.  Plus, the gasket surrounding the back plate would not allow it to go back in place, so I just removed it.  Now, I'm fine as long as I don't immerse it in water. :)
I do miss the windup watches.  The ticking sound was a pleasant reminder of time passing.  Now, the watch must be much closer for you to hear the tick.
