@DarkSideoftheMoon Yeah, Touchwood is an unfortunate name 😬 I only tend to go there once every couple of months at best. I do most of my shopping online these days. I rarely ever go to Sutton so you're safe! 😁

@SW-User our town centre has nothing to offer. Its a ghost town.

@DarkSideoftheMoon I'm closer to Shirley and what used to be an interesting selection of shops there is now predominantly charity shops and retirement homes. Solihull, outside of Touchwood, is also dying. The high street is becoming a thing of the past really.

I haven't been into Birmingham city centre to shop for years. I probably couldn't even find my way around it anymore.

@SW-User i worked in the city centre in a hotel until i gave birth and now work somewhere else closer to home. Shopping is dying more people are shopping online but i like trying things on before i buy them. Im closer to Tamworth and i like the retail park there better

@SW-User were going to be moving in that direction. Theyre building more houses in Lichfield now and we have a friend in Cannock so in the next few years i think we will be moving in that direction. We pay so much for rent right now because of the location and i love sutton especially the part we live in sutton is very nice and amazing schools but for what we pay for a massionet we could have a 3 bedroom house in Tamworth or Cannock

@DarkSideoftheMoon Yes, you definitely get a lot more for your money in Tamworth. I looked in Leamington, in Kenilworth, etc. Solihull isn't cheap either. This house would have been at least £100k cheaper in Tamworth.

@SW-User i don't know that area well. As long as its not a shithole and on a trainline im happy really. Id like to have a garden for my daughter and american style bbqs !
