I wouldn't want them touching me to try and fix it. I have a close friend that had this very conundrum. The artist offered to "fix" but she didn't want him to further muck it up.
@Starcrossed My leg piece was overworked, I didn't go back to the artist either. I went to someone new who made it into an amazing piece. It healed so much better after that. He also made sure to cover any mishaps she made.

This is why I have no tattoos. Once it's done it's DONE

I'd demand my money back and find another artist to make it right.

I really liked my guy but he definitely overworked my last tattoo. I wouldn't go back to him to fix it.

I've known him for over 20 years, he shows you what the finished product will look like, twice & you sign the OK paperwork. I trust him 100%

@ToddpicogramakaSatan are you talking about Leviticus 19:28?
Its exact translation is: ”And a cutting for the dead you will not make in your flesh; and writing marks you will not make on you; I am the Lord.” That is the only explicit mention of body modifications written in the Bible.
That was specific to a death cult of the time it was written.
