I'm not sure how to count my tattoos 😂

Like, some of them are separate pieces that go together. Some are tattoos that started off as one thing, then over time got more added to it because I randomly thought of more ideas 🤷

So when people ask me how many I have, I almost feel like I can't even answer accurately 😅 wtf

Lol same. For me if it’s a cohesive piece done in a series of sittings then it’s one tattoo and if it’s something that’s added to on separate occasions then each part is a separate tattoo. So like I have two swallows on my stomach that I count as one tattoo because they were always going to be one piece but two lizards on my chest that I count as two because I didn’t really plan to get the second when I had the first one done. It’s way more complicated than it should be tbh

@summersong yeah that's pretty much how mine are. Like on my right forearm I have 4. Originally I had "memento mori" across my arm. Then I had a broken roman clock added to it. Then I got two more tattoos on the other side of my forearm & there's a quote underneath a hand holding a rose while holding up the middle finger. I count the quote separate from the hand but really they tie in together too.

Or like on my knees, one knee says "NOT" & the other knee says "REAL". Together it says 'NOT REAL' & I count both of those as 1 tattoo. But some might count that as 2 since it's separate body parts

Probably best to say, "I have several that blend together" because some people have distinct separation between their tattoos and sometimes they blend.

I think that would satisfy the question because most people are not going to want to audit how many exactly.

@CestManan yeah I'm pretty close to losing count already. But that's kinda my goal too. I wanna have so many tattoos I can't even count them when people ask me 😂

I asked this dude once who was covered from his neck down & he said "idk I lost track around 24 but that was a long time ago" & I wanna get to that point too 😅

Rn I tell people I have 17 or 18, I can't specify which number so that means I'm getting close 😈

@deadteddy lmao nah only a few of those. Like the one on my ribs I can't see very clearly without looking at it in the mirror. & Both of the ones on my neck too of course 😅
