I Have Tattoos With Meanings

My tattoos when complete will be a symbolic and pictorial autobiography on my skin. I have five tattoos. I didn't get my first one til I was 28, a couple of weeks before my 29th birthday. Because I took so long in getting a tattoo, no one thought I was going to get inked. Now they wish they hadn't doubted me, LOL!!

#1-the word "Lifly", in black ink with curlicues under it (also black) which is my family name in Olde English. It is midway between my left elbow and shoulder. My family is very important to me. I have some pretty awesome ancestors!

#2-A yellow winking emoji with her tongue sticking out playfully. She exposes my playful side. She is located just a above the bend on my right elbow.

#3-a blue and white Nautical star, which stands for my team, and the fact I lived in Dallas as a child, plus one of my favorite series has a kick-*** female New York city police officer who was discovered in Dallas as an abused child by a kindly female officer (The series is set in 2058-2061). That tattoo isn't complete, the star will eventually separate the Dallas skyline as it was when I lived there, and then a futuristic Dallas skyline, for my love of the author JD Robb, and her character Eve Dallas. It is situated on my right shoulder, in the middle of the cup socket.

#4-A yellowish-orange star (Picture the star from Super Mario Bros, cause that's what it's based on!), that has a cheeky grin. What? Me improperly remove the game cartridge cause it ****** me off?? Never! (Love/hate relationship with that game since I was 6!) it is situated to the left of the emoji. It'll be a smiley/emoji/whatever-you-want-to-call-it armband.

#5-the acronym PAST. (Preemies Are So Tough). I got this one to remind myself I'm a fighter and a survivor, I was a preemie and had to be. It's in the green-turquoise ink, and it also has some curlicues (also the same color). It is situated to the right of the word "Lifly". It'll eventually be a word-armband.

The next smiley will be a four leaf clover with the Cheshire cats' face on it. I love Alice in Wonderland, and the song "Luck be a lady tonight" by Frank Sinatra.

The next part of my word-band is a phrase, "Hakuna Matata", because I believe in living in the here-and-now, not the past. Put the past behind you. : - )
