The images surfaced just one day after the Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump has been gifting $145 Florsheim Oxfords to members of his inner circle, often guessing their shoe size on the spot.
Recipients include Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and others. White House officials told the Journal that everyone is "afraid not to wear them." Vance recalled that Trump ordered the shoes after telling him and Rubio their footwear was terrible during an Oval Office meeting in December. The boxes arrive with Trump's signature and sometimes a personal note.
One Cabinet secretary reportedly stopped wearing his designer shoes just to avoid standing out.
