When you wear shoes with laces

Do you tighten the laces as tight as they can possibly go without being uncomfortable or generally tighten them just enough where you can wiggle your foot in and not have them flop around while walking?

A lot of times I double knot and hope another adult doesn't notice. 😭

My shoes are Velcro fasteners, so I don't worry about it much 😊
