I recommend Brooks. They are a little bit more expensive but you can find some of them on sale. (Got mine for $40 off the regular price). They are so worth it though. They are the most supportive sneakers I have ever worn. Even better than sketchers go walks.
My suggestion would be hiking shoes. Some have a lot of cushion and others are a little firmer. Trail runners are an option too because they're more like sneakers but have the support you'd need to run or walk on dirt. Hiking shoes are made for long distances so if you're walking a lot it can make sense.. They're not designed for pavement but they definitely crossover. Pretty much all I wear. I retire my old hiking shoes and use them day to day. You can get a lot of life out them.
@iamnikki If you did a survey of all health care professionals, I can bet 100 to 1 Vegas odds that a huge majority will tell you they wear and recommend sketchers.
