I Had to Take My Shoes Off

Growing up I always had to take my shoes off at home and when visiting friends and family.
This is something I have always done. Usually I change to slippers at the door.
This habit not only keeps the carpets clean its also very comfortable.

When I was growing up it was shoes and socks off. Even now I'm barefoot in the house

It's a bit cold here for bare feet. I have a mixture of carpet and wooden floors. The other morning the hard floor felt freezing on my bare feet.
We have already had a succession of ground frosts here!!!

Yes it's definitely getting colder. The weekends aren't so bad as I'm already barefoot it's when I come home after being in shoes and socks all day I start to feel my feet get cold. Once or twice last week I put socks back on. Only for an hour though.

I never wear shoes and socks in the house. They come off at the door. But it's the season of the slipper now and will be until about April/ May next year.

I'm barefoot nearly all the time in the house. I don't care much for slippers they make my feet hot n sweaty so I'd rather have cold toes.

I have good quality slippers. They are either leather or sheepskin. yes they are expensive but they last and because they are made from natural products they don't make my feet sweat.
