I made this by altering a 1912 silver watch chain and then added an Anglo-Saxon wedding ring (300-500AD) which I found years ago while walking through a field. I made it about two weeks ago to sell, but just can't bring myself to do it! ;)
@TimSummers oh Tim, a man after my own heart! Lol I love it too, I'm thinking of making some kind of lamp from it. Put some LED light s in and suspend it from my bedroom ceiling. :)
@xSharp its worth about £5, or $6 as its badly damaged at the top. If it had been perfect I wouldn't of been able to afford it, but £1.50 didn't brake the bank! Lol
@Quimliqer it has already been authenticated by the curator of the "Jorvic centre" in York who specializes in this time period. Having said all that, I have seen similar rings (rare but available) sell for £30-£50 $40-$60. So I decided to keep it as I think that is far too cheap for such a slice of history. I will take a close up pic of the ring soon to show the detail, its an amazing piece of work.
