Jeans that don't fit

I bought a pair of jeans recently online, when i recieved them i tried them on and i thought they fitted reasonably, however yesterday i tried them on because i thought i would wear them today they look terrible they definately do not fit properly and it is too long since buying them to return them, has anyone experienced this situation.
