I Do Not Wear a Watch

It's not that I don't wear a watch because I don't want to. I don't wear a watch because I burn them up inside. I've gone through too many watches in my life that I can't seem to find one I can wear. Everything from Timex to Seiko, it doesn't matter...I must have to much electrical energy in me that I burn them up inside. Am I the only one?

I don’t see the point of wearing a watch unless it’s a smart one 🤷🏻‍♀️.. seems equivalent to landlines to me

@SW-User I'm afraid of spending all that money on a smart watch just to short it out.

Everyone has a phone and you can check the time with one click @MaladyRed

@therighttothink50 Thank you for doing your research pet.
Interesting. Many people who have had near-death-experiences, find they can no longer wear watches. They burn them up.
I would very much like to go without a watch, but it wouldn't be timely.

@PhoenixPhail 🤭🤣😂

most of us carry a fone that tells the time
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@Orca4950 Thank God for the cell phone. I try not to carry mine close to me for any length of time. I'm afraid I might do something to that too.

who😚🤣 knows

I have that problem. Gold jewelry also causes green rings on my skin.
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@Fungirlmmm I get that with some jewelry too. They say that's from a chemical reaction on the skin. How or why it happens I don't know.

Wow good full off electrical energy as I get shocks off things I touch

I am the same way.

@PoetryNEmotion Nice to know that I am not alone.
Have you ever tried a windup watch that doesn't use batteries?
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@Mamapolo2016 Yes, but they are very hard to find. I had one once and the spring broke. I tried to get it fixed and I remembered that it was more expensive to get it fix then to purchase a new watch, so I did and the cycle of burning up watches began.
@MaladyRed Amazon has several for under $30 - if you want a watch. I don't wear a watch and very rarely bracelets because they drive me batty.
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@Mamapolo2016 Thank you, I will have to check them out.

that violates the laws of physics.
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@unknownpoetx I wish that it did.
No, apparently there are a few people who can’t wear watches without them going haywire or stopping altogether. Something about excess electricity in their bodies ? I’m not sure, but I have heard about it.
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard Well I go through batteries like water. And when I had a jewelry look at my Seiko watch, he told me that I fried the insides. I'm not sure what causes this, the only thing I can think it is...is too much electrical energy inside me.
@MaladyRed Okay, and that does sound like the explanation I’ve always heard about why that happens to some people.
MaladyRed · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard Yeah! I'm just one of the lucky ones. WhooHoo!
