Practice! Your feet have to get used to them - both the angle and the extra pressure on the toes. Now it feels weird without them, and I find myself walking on tiptoe when I'm barefoot...

They're only torturous if they don't fit properly! Boots are most likely to be comfortable as they support your feet well. I find it very difficult to get comfortable sandals as the straps give a much smaller surface area so are much more likely to rub and dig in. I have a couple of pairs of comfortable sandals with four inch heels I can walk miles in on almost any terrain, but several other pairs sit in the cupboard loved but rarely worn as they give me blisters after half a mile or so.

I'm not a CD. I happen to like the variety and style of a lot of female clothing but would mix anything like that with my ordinary clothes. I don't ever dress to look like a woman - I'm comfortable as a man who admires nice clothes and wears heels for pain relief as well as style.
BTW, I'm curious: why are you in this group when you don't even like wearing heels yourself? Do you specifically like men in heels? If so, you're a rare and valuable lady!

@Fernie This is a group called I Am A Man And I Can Walk In High Heels Better Than Some Women. I see you're not a member of it so I have no idea how you saw it unless it just came up on recent posts and you happened to see and respond to it. A lot of CDs are what I think of as pretend women. They take considerable care to present a complete convincing female look, including mannerisms and voice training. It's not just the clothes for them. However, we could get into very difficult and painful debate about that! ;-)
