Sounds suspicious. If a metal band you should probably just wash it since it might have some protective chemicals on it that you could be allergic or sensitive to. If you mean the back of the watch is hot, if it's a regular watch shouldn't be an issue, you can just change the battery to be on the safe side. If a smartwatch, it's probably a good idea to return it before it burns your wrist or something.

@Casheyane what i meant is, if it's a regular watch with a button battery, replacing the battery (probably old or defective) should be enough. No need to replace the back pannel. All but one of my watches have metallic back panels and none burn. However, the smartwatches can run a bit hot right after charging. If you don't know how (or don't have the tools) to open the back pannel just get it to a watch shop. Never heard of a Skmei before, but I don't know that many watch brands.

Either the band is contaminated with some type of bacteria or you are allergic to the materials in the band .
