You ever try on a new watch only to feel a slight burn on the wrist?

I tried an online brand I found, and it just got delivered. It looks beautiful so I was happy, until I tried to put it on and felt it warm on the wrist.

This is the first I experienced this.
Advice?

Sounds suspicious. If a metal band you should probably just wash it since it might have some protective chemicals on it that you could be allergic or sensitive to. If you mean the back of the watch is hot, if it's a regular watch shouldn't be an issue, you can just change the battery to be on the safe side. If a smartwatch, it's probably a good idea to return it before it burns your wrist or something.

@kayoshin The back of a battery watch is what burns, yes. Ah, so I need to replace the back part? Hassle T.T

It's meant to be a waterproof watch. Skmei actually. I'd try testing its waterproofness and see how it goes.

Thanks for the tip!

@Casheyane what i meant is, if it's a regular watch with a button battery, replacing the battery (probably old or defective) should be enough. No need to replace the back pannel. All but one of my watches have metallic back panels and none burn. However, the smartwatches can run a bit hot right after charging. If you don't know how (or don't have the tools) to open the back pannel just get it to a watch shop. Never heard of a Skmei before, but I don't know that many watch brands.

How tight did you have it?

What material is it on the band?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I suggest you buy a none metal band
Casheyane · F
@Queendragonfly I see. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it.
Casheyane · F
@Queendragonfly I didn't really look at the material, more on the style haha. Lesson learned.

Either the band is contaminated with some type of bacteria or you are allergic to the materials in the band .
Casheyane · F
@TexChik Not the band per se, but the burn was under the circle battery thing.

I don't wear watches anymore
Casheyane · F
@DDonde Why did you stop wearing them?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Casheyane Originally cause they'd get caught on my arm hair. Nowadays I just use my phone for the time.
Casheyane · F
@DDonde ahh.
