I Like Dressing Up

Was walking out of the store the other evening. A young lady was walking in wearing a dark jacket, leggings/active wear and boots. She was very pretty and had a beautiful smile. However she was wearing shiny black leggings with a few large red and gold tropical flowers print. She was very shapely and it complimented every curve very nicely.

So how are we supposed to look at her leggings, which obviously seemed intended to draw attention, and not be rude?

Looking is fine, just don't stare.

@FTB, so some quick glances and a smile is better? So many times it seems like dressing for attention - either look how nice I look or just look at me. Am I completely misunderstanding it?

Yeah. But for a lot of people it's usually not about attention, it's more about simply wanting to look good, because everyone likes looking good and when it attracts attention, it's confirmation that you do look good. Especially after spending so much time getting ready.

Often socially if I see a woman that has obviously put time and effort into getting ready and looking smart, so to say, I will try to smile and offer a compliment on how that's a nice look or outfit. After all, she definitely put thought, time and effort into it. However, that's generally with someone I either know or have spoken with before and not a total stranger.
