I got this dress today, feels a little too much to wear outside but I might do it

I'll begin by wearing it at home and nearby the neighbourhood:)

Beautiful! You and the dress.

But perhaps with different shoes, no shoes, simple sandals?

Why would it be too much to wear outside? I know people often think that but that usually means that the prettiest, and usually most expensive clothes, live 99.9% of the time in a wardrobe while the owner waits in vain for a 'suitable occasion'.

Wear it and be noticed!

My experience is that people love to see prettily dressed people or even just people who dress differently from the usual dull stuff. I've lost count of the number of times over the last few years that someone passing me in the street has complimented me on how I look. When someone says to me 'You look fabulous' I'm not vain enough to think that they are referring to my body or face looking that good so I have to believe that it's the clothes. And yes exactly 'You look fabulous' has been said to me several times as well as various variations on the theme.

Just last Saturday I was sitting in the cafe at IKEA posting on SW when the man from the next table complimented me on my outfit as he left.

@ninalanyon you know, the more I feel comfortable in my body (which I have been more and more over the last few years) the more it feels I can wear anything anywhere...almost! Now that it is time for action I'm cowardish hehehe thanks for the heads up.
I have found a woman who is getting dressed daily in a nearby cafe and I compliment her often and today I told her, next time I'll come with a dress too and she did like
