The largest item I wore last night were my commando boots! 🥾

They are eighteen hole, jet black and with steel toecaps. Yes, some ignorant countries might consider them a lethal weapon but I couldn’t take my firearm into a nightclub!

They are quite lightweight believe it or not, I usually use them for hiking in places where I have never been before, and I did have to polish them up a little for the club.

I think it was the rest of what I was wearing that ensured we had no access problems with the door staff, since I wore a jet black leather bra, which is three quarter cup, so I was spilling out of it a little, and the briefest black cotton shorts that I could get away with. Side ties, so you don’t need anything underneath them!

Times three. I had dressed exactly the same way as my girlfriends. Edoardo seemed quite surprised to see the three of us climb into the taxi we called to take us to the club, a little further away from home than my office!


Obviously, with tight shorts without undies beneath there are those ‘cameltoe’ moments and you get a little attention, or at least some not so kind verbal responses which you have to deal with, especially when you see men who are not local to Rome, who perhaps have a different potential to think about.

Our friends in the club are always defensive of the women who use the club, and the doormen are usually happy to get rid of those denying others the chance of recreation and who jeer at women dancing. They have no place in clubs in Rome (and should return to their deserts and mosques.
