@MaryDreamilton you and Jenny are treasures! the only place i see them is on metal concert/fetstivals! where all emo/goth/metalheads unite in clothing style!
@popmol They are still worn quite a lot in nightclubs around here. And you won't find any emo/goth/metalheads among us because we don't like that music. We like dance music and R&B.
@MaryDreamilton fascinating, another music group that i did not know they liked these boots! sad i don't know much about that scene otherwise i could enjoy seeing the boots even more!
@popmol Those boots were apparently the height of fashion (literally!) in the 1970s during the "glam rock" era, but being born in 1976 I missed out on that. They made a mighty comeback in the early 1990s, which was the heyday of the dance music I love (house, techno, etc). Jenny had her first pair for her 16th birthday (November 15th 1993) and she started her school friends wearing them, they had them for Christmas that year. That was a great time to be a teenager.

the only place i see them now is at metal stuff! where its handy for when it rains it gets muddy but those shoes will keep you dry! hope they become fashionable again!
@MaryDreamilton not sure i don't know which is which but i also heard welsh and irish and liked those too. i just know i wanted to hear the voice of one lady who worked at a hot dog stand again and again so i bought 5 hotdogs, that gave me a stomach ache but it was worth it!
