Speaking of shoes … I may have mentioned all this before.
For events or special occasions you need a minimum number of items to dress appropriately.
The expensive men’s shoes last a long time.
All you need is two pairs of loafers, brown and black. I had Bass Weejuns for twenty years. I’ve had some cheapish Dockers for that long now.
I had black dress shoes for a long, long time. Clark’s. I damaged them recently and needed new ones recently. I don’t know what happened to my brown ones. Don’t need them anymore.
Two suits. I have a charcoal and a black one.
And a blazer.
3 pressed white shirts and 2 blue shirts.
Ties, leather belts.
That’s the minimum a grown man needs. Covers weddings, funerals, graduations, shows, church at the traditional service, cruises and many other events. I don’t need a job interview suit.
